This change will cause inconsistent weather conditions, especially on the Main Islands, but also in some Tyrrhenian areas, such as Tuscany and Liguria. Saturday, November 9 is expected to be a particularly unstable day for Sardinia and Sicily, with the possibility of scattered showers and intermittent downpours. Liguria and the Tyrrhenian coast of Tuscany will also experience precipitation.
It should be noted, however, that the heaviest precipitation will tend to concentrate in the open sea, leaving the coasts with less persistent rain. In the Center and much of the South, moderate variability is expected. In the North regions, cloudiness will be more intense in the Northwest areas, while in the Po Valley thick fog will persist, which in some areas could remain for most of the day.
Only a few areas of the Northeast, particularly the Alpine and Pre-Alpine areas, will likely have clearer skies with some hours of sunshine.
The areas that will enjoy some sunshine will be some localities in Calabria and the Ionian coasts. Sunday, November 11 will see a slight improvement in weather conditions, as colder and drier air will begin to flow from the eastern sectors, favoring the dissipation of morning fog in the North and allowing for more clearings over much of the northern plains.
In Tuscany and Marche, an improvement with sunnier skies is expected. The situation will be different on the Main Islands: here, the arrival of cold air masses will lead to increased instability, with more intense and widespread rain especially in Sicily and, during the afternoon, also in Sardinia.
Possible rain is also expected in Apulia and the southern part of Calabria towards the afternoon. In the rest of the South and Center, the weather situation will remain characterized by moderate variability. As for the temperatures, they will remain in line with the values of recent days, without significant variations.
