A disturbance with rain and thunderstorms is coming.
Temperatures will undergo a significant decrease, especially in the Center-North, but only for a short time as the weather will change again in the following days.

After the passage of the thunderstorms, Italy will experience a brief interlude of stability thanks to the temporary departure of the low-pressure vortex towards the Iberian Peninsula, allowing the arrival of warm currents of subtropical origin.
Consequently, temperatures will rise again, reaching typically summer values, especially in the Center-South between Friday and Saturday, but still on Sunday the 8th in various parts of the country. The weekend looks hot, but during Sunday an important change will begin to appear with the arrival of a cold front, which will start a significant weather deterioration, heralding the arrival of autumn.
Maximum temperatures could reach 38 degrees especially in the South and the Main Islands, although no record peaks like those recently recorded in Northern Italy are expected.
Sunday’s disturbance will open the doors to much cooler air
The cause of the deterioration will be the cold air vortex approaching Italy, bringing a barometric minimum that will deepen over the western Italian seas, causing a significant weather deterioration.
This event will mark the beginning of the true end-of-summer storm. Rains and thunderstorms will start hitting the North-West, then extend to the Tyrrhenian regions and Sardinia, while other Italian regions, especially the South and Sicily, will remain under the influence of sirocco currents with still high temperatures. Only at the beginning of the new week will the atmospheric depression move eastward, affecting the weather throughout the country.
Severe weather conditions are also expected in the South, where the meeting between the pre-existing heat and the cooler air will favor the formation of violent downpours.
Temperatures will undergo a sharp decrease, approaching autumn values, with a drop starting from the Center-North and then involving Southern Italy as well.
This unstable phase will last for several days, with a possible return to stability only in the second half of the following week.
