Let’s start with a premise: Summer is not giving up.
It won’t give up in the coming days either, when the Atlantic will try to take over but will have to clash with the usual anticyclonic stronghold.
The topic has already been extensively covered in previous insights; let’s say it certainly won’t be a climatic weather turning point but rather some timid signs of the season coming to an end. Yes, because then September will arrive and we will officially enter Autumn.
Considering the international convention, the new season will make its debut on the 1st of the next month, but beyond the dates – which often and willingly are only on paper – what matters most is to understand if something will change in terms of atmospheric circulation. In this regard, the latest updates from international calculation centers – despite all the differences between one forecasting model and another – hypothesize some interesting maneuvers. Yes, but will these maneuvers be able to put an end to the atrocious heat that has returned upon us? The answer is not there… Or rather, we necessarily have to be patient because in the presence of the African Anticyclone everything could resolve into a bubble.
Oh yes, just to give you an example, what could have been the worsening at the beginning of next week will be enormously limited precisely by the presence of such a structure. However, some projections indicate – for the beginning of September – the entry of a cold drop from the eastern quadrants.
A hypothesis that we can consider valid because in the coming days in those parts – Eastern Europe – a very cool air circulation will be structured. Circulation that could take advantage of a lesser anticyclonic interference on the eastern side and it is for this reason that we are inclined not to exclude the realization of such a scenario.
A scenario that, if confirmed, could open the doors to a significant worsening, a worsening that could give us the first autumnal hints. Attention, for autumnal hints we should not imagine a worsening in the style of October or November, no. For autumnal hints, we should imagine a progressive seasonal decline, that is, the natural aging process of Summer that usually occurs starting from September. So yes, Autumn could try to make its way but we need to understand if it will succeed or not.
What is certain is that during the next month there will be various attempts and sooner or later one of these will hit the mark.
