Global warming, which we believe is undeniable to everyone’s eyes, is driving really profound, severe, dangerous climate changes. And so we find ourselves, in the middle of Summer, having to talk about exaggerated coolness.
And so, in Summer, we are forced to talk about hallucinatory temperatures.
Fortunately, this year we did not reach the absurd heatwave of July 2023, but we were close.
Because not having record values should not in any way distract from the fact that the heat was absurd. We understand, therefore, those who insistently ask us for a weather change.
We understand those who, insistently, tell us that the heat has become tiresome.
Not the beautiful days, mind you, because having a beautiful Summer day is one thing, dealing with that kind of heat is another. But that’s it, this is what we have to endure, face.
Demanding something different, no, we can’t, rather we could wish for something else, we could dream of a bit of seasonal normality, this without a shadow of a doubt.
But as long as the Anticyclone stays there, perched over the Mediterranean, it will be difficult to talk about a change. The change will be the one that will bring us Autumn, definitively.
For this reason, we must hope that the African Anticyclone lets go of its moorings, because as long as it doesn’t lift the anchor, it will be difficult to have room for a definitive change.
No, until then, let’s get out of our heads the idea of talking about a real change. The change will have to be profound, the change will have to bring the Atlantic disturbances to convincingly invade our latitudes, and for that, there is a need for the Polar Vortex to start developing.
Then who knows, with the Polar Vortex in a growth phase, we will talk about something else, maybe the usual Winter that is not Winter, but that’s another story. What is certain is that Autumn is now at the door, and with the new season around the corner, it is absolutely legitimate to expect something different.
So let’s be a little more patient, the seasonal change is imminent.
