WEATHER FORECAST UNTIL MAY 31 2024, ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION
We are at the last weekend of May and the weather is not the best, although by Sunday, May 26, the instability will tend to ease, giving more room to sunshine with thunderstorms limited to the afternoon hours.
The good news ends here, as it will be a very brief respite and already at the beginning of the week we will have to deal with the arrival of a new unstable impulse.

Thunderstorms will return to the forefront from Monday 27, more widespread starting from Northern Italy.
The Atlantic depression, positioned close to the British Isles, will convey further unstable impulses.
The high pressure will still be too far west, contrary to expectations, with fresh air infiltrations at altitude continuing to reach Italy. In short, the umbrella will still be necessary with patchy thunderstorms more likely during the hottest hours especially in inland and mountainous areas. A second unstable impulse will arrive between Thursday 30 and Friday 31, with other intense thunderstorms especially in the Central-North to mark a very turbulent end of May. The consequences of this cyclonic thrust should also be felt in the weekend of early June, which promises many thunderstorms. Probably Italy will be divided in half, with the South partially protected by a North-African high pressure comeback.
The summer, which will debut on June 1 according to the meteorological calendar, will certainly not start at its best.
IN DETAIL
Sunday, May 26: predominantly sunny, with daytime and afternoon thunderstorms more likely on the central-southern Apennine ridge and the Eastern Alps.
The stormy phenomena may extend towards some coastal areas of the Southern Peninsula, especially between Campania and Upper Calabria. Monday, May 27: worsening in the North, with a new wave of thunderstorms starting from the Alps and then in the central-western Po Valley.
Intense phenomena expected with hail especially towards evening. Tuesday, May 28: showers in the North-East, but convective instability also in the Central-South. Further weather trends: thunderstorms will continue until the end of the month.
Only in the weekend will the African high pressure try to push towards Southern Italy, while the rest of the country will continue to deal with instability.
