After a good rainy start, autumn seems to have disappeared from the radar on the Italian Peninsula.
A robust high-pressure field has settled over the central Mediterranean, bringing almost absolute atmospheric stability to our territory.
Since the beginning of November, in fact, there have been no significant precipitations, except for some rain that affected Sicily and Sardinia in recent days.
Elsewhere, the most “notable” event has been the appearance of fog, favored by unusually high levels of humidity. This situation has worsened the air quality especially in the northern regions.
In Southern Italy, and particularly in Puglia and Basilicata, the main problem remains the lack of rain, which exacerbates the water shortage.
In short, a change of pace is needed for this November, or the critical issues will increase.
Indeed, there are some signs of change, but the high pressure still persists.
Starting today, however, something seems ready to move.
Here are the weather forecasts for today, Tuesday, November 12, and tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13, across the entire Italian territory.
Here comes the cold and the first SNOW of the season will be seen, rain in the southern regions
Weather today, Tuesday, November 12: Italy will be divided in two.
In the North, the cold drop will arrive from the early hours in the western sectors, bringing rain, but especially snow in the Alps, starting from 1000-1500 meters.
In the Northeast, the situation will be very calm and stable, with at most a drop in temperatures.
In the Center, the weather will be generally stable, with some clouds and slight disturbances in the Apennines.
In the southern regions, the depression vortex causing bad weather in Sicily will be fueled and will bring more rain and thunderstorms to Sicily, Calabria and, by evening, also to Basilicata and Puglia. Temperatures dropping in the North. Weather tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13: the cold drop in the North will already be moving away and its effects will fade.
In the South, the action of the depression vortex will continue, moving further East and affecting the weather in the southern regions with rain and thunderstorms.
The central regions will also be involved, albeit to a lesser extent. Temperatures without significant changes.
