Mathematical models show significant uncertainty, with scenarios ranging from intense thunderstorms, potentially accompanied by cloudbursts, to more contained rain episodes, which could be slightly concentrated to the North or South of the Lombard capital.
However, the weaker phenomena seem destined to manifest in the Prealps and even less intensely in the Alps. The possibility of hail is not excluded, given the potential for strong thermal contrasts that could occur.
These thunderstorms could also be accompanied by electrical storms, with numerous lightning strikes and a high probability of ground strikes.
After this stormy phase, which could partially affect Saturday as well, the weather will improve from Monday, August 19, with temperatures remaining close to the seasonal norm.
However, starting from Tuesday, there will be a gradual increase in temperatures, leading to a new heat wave. The expected heat in the following days will be characterized by particularly muggy and unpleasant weather due to the high humidity.
Maximum temperatures could again reach 35°C, creating significant discomfort for the population. Sunday, August 18 will be a day characterized by cloudy skies with expected showers.

The chance of precipitation will be low, around 20%, and winds will blow lightly from the South/Southwest at 5 km/h, with gusts of 12 km/h.
The week will conclude with Monday, August 26, which will see partly cloudy skies and still high temperatures, between 24°C and 34°C.
