This disturbance will affect Italy for a total of 5 days, favoring scattered and locally heavy precipitation, from north to south.
The weather conditions will not be unstable and disturbed for all 5 days in all regions, so a more detailed analysis zone by zone is necessary.
Bad weather arrives
The North of Italy will be the first sector to deal with the bad weather starting today.
The front coming from the west will bring showers and thunderstorms that will become more widespread and intense during Thursday, October 3rd. The heaviest precipitation is expected in the Triveneto, the eastern Liguria, and the upper Tuscany, where local downpours will not be lacking.
Between Thursday and Friday, the bad weather will also extend to the central regions, generating locally strong thunderstorms on the Tyrrhenian side, between Lazio and Campania.
Some strong thunderstorms could develop by Thursday evening also in the central-southern Puglia. Friday will be another day characterized by widespread bad weather in the Triveneto and sporadically in the central regions, while the South will enjoy a momentary improvement, except for cloud cover on the lower Tyrrhenian and local violent thunderstorms in the Salento.
Last rains over the weekend
Between Saturday and Sunday, the sun will return to most of the North and the Mid-upper Tyrrhenian, while a certain instability will persist in the regions of the Mid-lower Adriatic and the South.
Sudden showers and thunderstorms, although isolated, may affect regions such as Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, and Sicily.
Between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, the weather conditions will tend to improve in most of Italy thanks to the return of high pressure.
At the same time, temperatures will drop significantly across the boot, especially in the South, where a moderate mistral wind will blow starting from the weekend.
