Thousands, or rather millions of Italians will be traveling, and therefore the weather forecasts take on a decidedly more important character.
But who will win? Will the high pressure continue to dominate over our heads and skies, or will there be a sensational upheaval in progress? Perhaps the Ferragosto weekend is what everyone defines as a sort of watershed that ends the summer, at least from the point of view of holidays.
After Ferragosto, it’s as if we return to “normality,” so these last days represent the last cry of sea, sun, and tans.
So let’s see the weather trend for Ferragosto and the upcoming weekend in general.
Three-quarters of Italy under the sun and heat, but beware of a possible disturbance
The latest forecasts indicate that the subtropical high pressure could partially give way on its northern side around August 14 and Ferragosto.
This weakening, predictable after the strong anticyclonic dominance of the previous days, could allow the passage of an Atlantic disturbance that could reach Northern Italy.
Consequently, there could be showers or thunderstorms, even intense, starting from the Alps and Prealps and then extending to the plains. The weather will remain stable in the Center-South, where thunderstorms could appear only after Ferragosto.
As for the African heat, after the peak in the first part of the week, temperatures could slightly decrease starting from the North on Ferragosto, still maintaining a warm climate but without reaching the extreme highs of the previous days. However, we remind you that given the still high temporal distance, this analysis needs further confirmations and certainties in the next updates, especially for the disturbance that could hit part of Northern Italy.
