Although it still seems capable of ensuring us stable and very hot weather for the next few days, our attention is focused on the coming week.
In particular, the period we are interested in is midweek, specifically between Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6.
Take note of these dates, as they could mark the first real seasonal change, a true break in the summer.
This is not an unusual or exceptional event, as statistically, this is often the period when summer seriously begins to lose its energy.
What could happen is clearly indicated in today’s maps from the main calculation centers, almost all agreeing in predicting the decisive descent of a cold cyclonic vortex towards our country, ready to forcefully push the hot African bubble that has been hovering over our heads for too long back to its origins.
It is important to clarify that, considering the days that separate us from that date, we are analyzing not a certain forecast, but a possible, albeit very probable, trend.
That said, we necessarily have to wait for the calculation centers to continue confirming this scenario in the coming days, as it would not be the first time that, over time, they suddenly propose different scenarios.
But what could happen, in more detail, based on current elaborations?
Between Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6, the pressure will undergo a sharp decrease with the passage of a real thunderstorm disturbance that will initially hit the northern regions and, by the evening of Friday, September 6, also all of central Italy.
In this phase, not only will we have to deal with a capricious and strongly stormy weather context, but also with a sharp drop in temperatures, even by 14-15°C.
If everything is confirmed, will we really be facing the end of summer? Probably yes, but of the most severe summer, made of scorching temperatures and oppressive humidity.
After this sudden change, in fact, high pressure could return to be the protagonist, without however the strength to bring back the great heat, limiting itself to offering us the classic September summer.
